Whitehawk
In the space of seven years Whitehawk almost completed the journey from the Sussex League to the National League, but were denied in playoff heartbreak. County champions in 2010 and back-to-back Isthmian titles in 2012 and 2013, the Hawks soared. In the National South, Whitehawk reached the playoffs in consecutive campaigns before double relegation. Three years ago, the Sussex side won the Division One South East playoffs.

When Whitehawk beat Brentwood Town in early November, the Hawks were in contention of challenging for the playoff places. However, one win in eight saw them slide before picking up again. The Hawks went on a seven match unbeaten run that kept them around mid-table, but clear enough from danger. That proved crucial as in the final 12 fixtures they failed to win and at one stage lost six in a row during March.
Manager – Jay Lovett
Jay Lovett impressed as a player at Crawley Town in the late nineties earning a move to Brentford. The former midfielder later returned to non-league football making most of his appearances with Lewes and Eastbourne Borough. As a manager, Lovett started out at South Park and had a three-year spell with Burgess Hill Town. After a short stint at Haywards Heath Town, then a coaching role with Eastbourne Borough, he returned to the Hillians as joint manager before his move to Whitehawk this summer.
Summer Transfers
Three of the new Whitehawk players should be able to link up immediately. Finlay Chadwick, Matt Jones and Lee Seok Jae all arrive from Bognor Regis Town. Likewise, Mehmet Halim and Liam Moore both make a move from Sutton United. Staying in the county and joining the Hawks from Lewes is Beaux Booth. The Hawks also have two arrivals from Kent with Dan Bowry (Cray Valley Paper Mills) and Oghosa Williams (Greenwich Borough)joining the ranks.
Leaving the Sussex club over the summer, Stefan Wright has switched to Welling United and Harry Lodovica to Chatham Town. Meanwhile, Andrew Briggs has made a move to Lewes and Joel Daly to Burgess Hill Town.
